A Short Note on Web Vulnerability Assessments
There are two vulnerability assessment tools that are widely used across the industry:
Burp Suite and Nessus.
We also use one of these industry-standard tools as part of our assessments.
Because these tools perform similar automated checks, they often produce similar results when used on the same website.
For this reason, relying solely on automated scanning makes it difficult to differentiate the quality of our vulnerability assessment service.
At Adrift, we go a step further. In addition to automated scanning, we place special emphasis on evaluating administrator login security using multiple password lists based on real-world attack data.
Administrator login pages are among the most common targets for attackers. While vulnerabilities such as Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) or Local File Inclusion (LFI) often require specific conditions and are not always present, weak administrator credentials can sometimes provide a much easier path to unauthorized access.
